THE ART OF PAIN

Actualizado: 26 may 2021

“Pain is not part of life; it can turn into life itself”

“What do I need my feet for if I got wings to fly?”

“Let’s be honest: with no pain, women can’t live”

You’ve assuredly heard some other quotes like these, haven’t you? Well, this is part of Frida Kahlo’s life, which is related to art, tragedy, affairs and for sure, related to Mexico.

A controversial artist who is both loved by many and loathed by others, a woman who did it all differently to what society imposed, an artist who was considered as a surrealist one (never confirmed by her), a woman whose personality shocked everyone on that time, an artist who marked the history of art and the role of women in society.

Frida Kahlo’s artworks can be found at different museums in Mexico City, such as Museum Dolores Olmedo, Museum Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo’s House-Studio, Museum of Modern Art, Frida Kahlo’s Blue House, Foro Valparaíso and so on, which you can visit during our Fridalovers tours so that you know much more about her life, her style and her works.

Do not miss the chance to live the experience of a tour about a Mexican artist whose face is now printed on clothing and accessories, whose image has been used by important toy and footwear brands.
